Jason Frye, L.Ac.

OWNER

Jason Frye, L.Ac., is a dedicated practitioner of Chinese Medicine with over 20 years of experience. His journey began in 1998, studying Tai Chi, Qigong, Acupressure, and Tui Na under esteemed instructors like Sifu Brian O’Dea, Simu Ou Yang Min, and Master Zi Shen Wang.  Jason earned his Master’s degree from The Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences in Oakland, CA, becoming a licensed acupuncturist in 2010.

Committed to lifelong learning, he has furthered his expertise with studies in Neuro-Acupuncture under Dr. Ming Qing Zhu and Advanced Pulse Listening with Will Morris. Jason has also delved deeply into Daoist and Buddhist practices, Chinese Astrology, and philosophy with teachers like Liu Ming and Lama Palden Drolma.

As an educator, he has taught at the Acupressure Institute, McKinnon Body Therapy Center, and The Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences. Currently, Jason offers his healing services at Hilltop Family Acupuncture, inviting you to embark on a transformative journey toward wellness.


Michael Fitzgerald, L.Ac.

ACUPUNCTURIST

Michael Fitzgerald is a highly regarded Acupuncturist and Herbalist, having practiced and taught Chinese medicine for over 20 years. After earning a Masters Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the American College of TCM in San Francisco, Michael spent 8 years in Taiwan and China, studying clinical medicine with numerous highly respected and well-known doctors. It was in during this time that he began his specialization in internal medicine and mental health. Michael has extensive clinical knowledge, experience and success treating pain, arthritis, gynecological disorders, anxiety disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, cardiac disease, asthma and other respiratory illnesses.

​Michael FitzGerald has served as the Clinical Director of the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences in Oakland, CA. He enjoys sharing his knowledge and passion for Chinese medicine with aspiring students and the general public.

Michael also speaks Mandarin and Cantonese.


Catherine Ng, L.Ac.

ACUPUNCTURIST

Catherine Ng graduated from University of California, Berkeley with B.A degree in Integrative Biology and minor in nutrition science. She developed interest in using alternative methods in helping others. She further pursued her study in Traditional Chinese Medicine and earned a master degree in 2015, and completed both Massage Practitioner and Qigong Practitioner Certificate Programs. She passed the board exam and was certified acupuncturist in the State of California.

She specializes in pain management, including acute and chronic pain, sciatica, frozen shoulders and other various pain conditions. She also helps patients in emotional stress, digestive issues, and side effects of chemotherapy. Catherine strongly believes in a healthy lifestyle with the balance of mental wellness, nutrition and exercises and often provides valuable advice to patients based on their habits and needs.

Catherine also speaks Mandarin & Cantonese.


Michiko Marx, L.Ac.

ACUPUNCTURIST

Michiko is a licensed practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), specializing in acupuncture, herbal medicine, cupping, moxibustion, and other holistic modalities tailored to individual patient needs. Her journey with TCM began when she experienced chronic, unexplained symptoms that conventional medicine could not fully address. Through TCM treatments and lifestyle adjustments, she found significant relief and a deeper understanding of holistic health, inspiring her to pursue this path professionally. Michiko holds her degree from the University of East-West Medicine in Sunnyvale. She is dedicated to helping clients improve and maintain their health, manage symptoms, and prevent illness through integrative and personalized care, fostering a balanced, energetic, and pain-free life.

Michiko is also fluent in Japanese.


Jessica Biedron, L.Ac.

ACUPUNCTURIST

Jessica has over 20 years of witnessing the profound impact of mind-body connection on health. After her undergrad work in psychology she entered the holistic health field inspired by the beauty of Eastern Traditions which look to the elements in nature to understand disharmony in the body. Throughout her earlier career as massage therapist, she developed her intuitive skills while immersing herself in the rich wisdom of spiritual traditions such as Yoga and Ayurveda, various bodywork styles, Chi Nei Tsang, and Reiki, before eventually attaining her MS in Traditional Chinese Medicine from The Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences in Oakland CA. She has practiced Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine for the past 10 years, successfully treating a wide range of conditions including chronic pain, women’s hormone health, autoimmune conditions, mental health, gastrointestinal conditions and issues related to all stages of pregnancy.


Jewelz, L.Ac.

ACUPUNCTURIST

Jewelz earned her Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Five Branches University in Santa Cruz, CA in 2009. During her studies, she completed externships in China and Thailand, enriching her expertise. She currently has over 14 years of practice and specializes in Cosmetic Acupuncture and Facial Rejuvenation using ancient beauty techniques (note* Jewelz is also a Licensed Esthetician) as well as using acupuncture for injury or surgical rehabilitation, balancing hormones, chronic pain (musculoskeletal), digestion and metabolism disorders, weight loss, stress reduction, supporting pregnancy and more. She is trained in Qi Gong, Cupping/GuaSha, Moxibustion and Electric Stimulation (TENS) therapies and utilizes a fusion of Tui Na, Thai and Shiatsu massage styles that she incorporates in almost every session. With her knowledge, training and skills, you will feel nurtured on your path to healing.


Ethan Ramirez, L.Ac.

ACUPUNCTURIST

Ethan hails from the Bay Area and is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist. He has a passion for healing processes, strengthening mind body connections, balancing qi and helping people feel agency over their health. His holistic approach is rooted in the potent practice of traditional East Asian healing practices which includes acupuncture, herbal medicine, tui na, cupping, gua sha and nutritional counseling. With these techniques, we can restore holistic well-being, inviting joy, vitality, and balance into the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of our being. Ethan specializes in treating acute and chronic pain, hormone imbalances, migraines, insomnia, anxiety, and digestive and auto-immune disorders. In his leisure time, Ethan enjoys a good book, playing guitar, singing with friends, surfing and foraging while hiking in the many California national and regional parks.

Ethan also speaks Spanish.


Dr. Gina Morishige

Dr. Gina Morishige is a licensed and nationally certified Expanded Practice Clinician, specializing in Regenerative and Holistic Medicine. With a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine and certifications in Functional Medicine and Functional Genomics, Dr. Morishige brings one of the most diverse and practical holistic medicine skillsets in the USA. Her practice spans Functional Medicine, Dermatology, Autoimmune and Inflammatory Diseases, Clinical Herbal Medicine, Classical Chinese and Japanese Acupuncture, Neuro-Acupuncture, Orthopedic and Sports Medicine, and Injection & IV Therapy. Inspired by her personal experience witnessing the devastating impact of disease, Dr. Morishige is deeply committed to identifying the root cause of dis-ease and providing grounded, sensible, and personalized holistic solutions. Her empathic and driven approach ensures that each client receives a tailored treatment plan designed to support deep healing and optimal wellbeing. Licensed in multiple states and consulting clients and health practitioners across the USA, Dr. Morishige is dedicated to helping individuals live their best lives through transformative, comprehensive care.
